Brief Summary

Sixteen-year-old Nomi Nickel has a choice: stay in her repressive Mennonite town or leave behind everything she knows. The problem is that her mother and sister have already chosen the latter, vanishing without a word. Left with her helpless father, Nomi is caught between faith and rebellion, tradition and escape.
