All girls dream of great things at some point. They want to be princesses, astronauts, archaeologists, singers, and so on. While things are a bit more complicated with a princess, a woman can master almost any stereotypically male job in today’s world. However, even in the 21st century, women still take the brunt of the household responsibilities.

Cleaning, laundry, cooking, and doing homework with the kids do not give a woman a free minute to relax. Yet each of us, in addition to work, needs one more essential factor to live a fulfilling life: self-expression. It is self-expression that can get you out of the vicious circle of constant work, which completely erases your personality and kills you in you. You need nothing less than a time to engage in self-expression, or your Unicorn Space, as the author calls it.

Try to think about something you have wanted to do for a long time but could not find the opportunity. Perhaps you have long wished to learn to crochet soft toys. Or you've dreamed of learning how to fence since childhood. You can set crazy goals, like learning Chinese to the level of a native speaker, or you can choose something more modest, like drawing at the level of an amateur. You don't need to become a master at anything; the point is to just do it.

The question arises, "Where will I get the time to do all this?" Well, to find a couple of hours a week or a day for your Unicorn Space, you will have to give up some household responsibilities. But that's not a bad thing! If you're running out of time to breathe because of the amount of housework you must do, you've probably become the victim of a vanity project. This term refers to unpaid labor that men put women through. Don't let the patriarchy fool you!
