How to stop worrying and start living

Without fear, our ancestors would hardly have been able to survive in the harsh world that surrounded them. But today, fear presents us with more inconveniences than benefits. Find out how to conquer fear and enjoy life in our article.

How to stop worrying and start living

Sometimes, anxiety evolves into a chronic condition. We are constantly under stress, and this often leads to unfavorable consequences. Let's look together at some causes of anxiety and anxiety triggers to learn how to stop worrying and start living.

Don't stop and just run forward

The main way not to sink into the abyss of self-loathing because of a mistake is not to look back. There are often obstacles in our path. It is crucial to keep going when you stumble. On the contrary, many people start blaming themselves for stumbling. Having failed, you must make an analysis and then go to the next stage with conclusions. Don't linger in the analysis stage by revisiting it over and over again because, as a result, you will start to get anxious and doubtful.

Think about the worst ending possible and what you can do about it

Sometimes, it's good just to humble ourselves. As controversial as it sounds, we sometimes can't do anything about it. We have to accept the worst outcome and move on. If you're constantly worrying about getting fired, embrace the fact that you might get fired. Think about what you can do because of it. Finding another job or starting your own business might not be bad or even better options than what you are doing now. Don't be afraid of the bad ending; just accept it and realize it's not so bad!

Love yourself

We are often anxious because we don't live up to some ideal. We're not pretty enough, we're not smart enough, and anyway, my mom's friend's son already has five kids and two houses. Stop. Accept yourself for who you are. Of course, you shouldn't stop trying to be the best version of yourself. But do it wisely. Don't race someone else; instead, love yourself and make improvements for your own good.

Rest a little bit

Anxiety is the body's response to stress. Consequently, when you over-stimulate your body, it starts to stress even more, even over the smallest nonsense. When you are overstimulated, you need to rest. Not only will this increase your productivity, but it will also help you become healthier. So take a break without any guilt!

Be positive and consistent

Be a little less serious from time to time. That doesn't mean you have to stop working hard or relaxing too much. Just treat everything like a game or a party. It's your own choice to complete that level, and if you lose, you can always go back to your saved point. We associate games with something positive, so take that positivity with you and go conquer the peaks!

Stop procrastinating

When you want something badly, you will always find time for it. Proper time management can save you from any situation. If you dream of writing a book, write an hour every day before bed. Be mindful of your time: you'll soon find out how many hours in a day you can use when you're not wasting time scrolling social media or staring at the wall.

Set your priorities and think about what's important

What should we do when there's really no time? You might say, “I can't do an embroidery course if I have to study at an institute, have two part-time jobs, and go to the gym and fitness club.” Well, in that case, learn to prioritize. Maybe you can get rid of one of the part-time jobs or fitness. On the other hand, embroidery courses may not be as important to you as education, work experience, and sports. Analyze your values, and you'll learn a lot about yourself. If you want to learn more about how to achieve this understanding of your true values, you may find the book You Are a Badass interesting.

Maintain a healthy body for a healthy mind

You can't be completely happy with an unhealthy lifestyle. Of course, as long as you are a young student who sleeps three hours a night, washes down his coffee with energy drinks, and eats a canteen bun for lunch, you can feel pretty well. Your life is boiling; you’re young and content. But in just a couple of years, you'll face the consequences of this lifestyle. You'll have a hard time maintaining a schedule, and you’ll feel exhausted and lethargic. So, don't let an unhealthy lifestyle stop you. Get 7-9 hours of sleep a day, eat nutrient-rich foods, and exercise. Your health is one of your most important resources.

You need to remember a few things. For starters, what creates anxiety initially serves as a reflex to protect you. Accept this and learn to be calm no matter what. There are many different methods of learning how to live with anxiety and not let it take over. But whether you choose the worst-case scenario method or the don't look back method, you won't defeat anxiety if you don't love yourself. By accepting yourself and taking care of yourself, your body will be less stressed, which will cause your brain to stop generating crazy options to worry about. Give yourself a break every now and then. Still, you should be persistent. A good life won't fall on your head without hard work. Stop procrastinating and start making your own way. If you don't have the opportunity to do that, give up something less necessary to you. Most importantly, stay positive, and then your life will be much simpler.
