Many people follow the same path: study, work, retirement. All their lives, ordinary citizen works for money. Yet, no one tells us how to make money work for us. No wonder we lack knowledge about financial security and wealth accumulation. Wealthy people usually teach their own children how to manage money. Representatives of the low-income and middle classes typically do not talk to children on such topics.
Robert Kiyosaki began learning about finance at the age of nine. He was born into a middle-class family. He and his friend Mike felt left out compared to wealthier friends who could afford much more. Robert and Mike decided to team up to try and make some money.
Deciding to seek advice from their fathers, they heard two different opinions. Kiyosaki's father had several advanced degrees and a doctoral degree. Meanwhile, Mike's father did not even complete his secondary education. But they also had something in common – diligence and faith in the benefit of knowledge.
However, their opinions differed on what exactly you need to study. Robert's father believed one should get an education and a good position in a stable company. Mike's father was sure that you need to gain knowledge that will help you buy a company.
The idea of money in the two men was also different. Robert's father preferred not to pay much attention to money, thinking it was a source of unhappiness for people. On the contrary, Mike's father believed that money is a factor in happiness.
Financial difficulties always accompany the life of Robert's father, the poor dad. And Mike's father, the rich dad, managed to become one of the wealthiest people in Hawaii.
