How often do you put things off, thinking that you will have enough time in the future to do them? This is a fairly common lie that people tell themselves and readily believe. How do we solve this problem?
First of all, understand that there is no better time than now. *Non-linear time management* will help you in this. How does this type of time management differ from traditional time management? Well, in traditional time planning, we build a line consisting of step-by-step tasks that should bring us to our goal. Thus, we focus too much on future actions and results.
In our case, there is no straight line in time management. All we have to do is simply start working now on what we want to put off for later. Just imagine that this "after" does not exist. If you have a project, you should start doing it now. That way, you don't give procrastination a chance to beat you. You have to beat it instead and become a true *Time Warrior*. But who is this?
Time Warrior may sound too violent, but the note of "violence" is deliberately added to this term. Whenever we perform a task or implement a project, we fight our enemies – distractions and procrastination. That is why you, as a true fighter, must be able to resist these negative factors to win this battle.
However, it is important to note that fighting procrastination does not mean trying to get ahead of time by turning your life into chaos. Have you ever tried to schedule and fill every minute of your life to be "productive"? Such a life resembles an eternal commotion, and if you do not know how to take a break, you can stop hearing your inner desires and eventually burn out. Therefore, occasionally, it is worth relaxing and recovering. It will help you to be a strong Time Warrior!
A good example of a Time Warrior is the renowned boxer Rocky Marciano. He became famous for his dedication to boxing. This does not mean the man had nothing else except his career. Before each fight, the boxer took a break from everything, including hobbies, friends, and family, for several months. During this time, Rocky was completely focused on his main task – winning the match. He trained, ate right, and, in the end, put in all the effort for the best result.
